In 2010, the Swiss Graphic Design Foundation entered into a co-operation agreement with the Swiss National Museum in Zurich. As a partner of the Foundation, the Museum takes the lifeworks handled by the Foundation and archives them professionally, making them available to interested parties at any time.

The Swiss National Museum very clearly emphasises the cultural significance of Swiss graphic design with this new collection sphere.

The opening of the extension in 2016 will furthermore provide the Swiss Graphic Design Foundation with space for regular small-scale exhibitions on lifeworks or selected themes.
